Intellectual Property Rights

Description

Patents, designs, trademarks and other know-how rights owned by one of the parties.

A general term to describe inventions or other discoveries that have been registered with a government authority in the form of a patent, trademark, design, copyright.

Also referred to as IPR's.

Examples

Definition: "Intellectual Property Rights" means Patents, designs, formulae, trade secrets, know-how, industrial models, and technical information Controlled by ACCESS and whether now existing or coming into existence during the Term and which are necessary for and/or related to the use or distribution of the Product. -- License and Supply agreement between Access and Wyeth, January 2004
