Astellas acquires OSI Pharma in an all cash transaction for $4 billion

This transaction represents a common stock price of $57.50 and is completed after Astellas first tendered an offer of $52.00 per share directly to the OSI Stockholders in March 2010. OSI is a biotechnology company that focuses on oncology, diabetes and oncology, whilst Astellas is a global leader in a number of therapeutic areas including urology, immunology and metabolic diseases and oncology.

Together this transaction will ensure that both companies continue to develop world class therapies and improve the health of patients around the globe.
